I used to live in Ottawa but now am a little out of area - maybe an hour west on highway 7. When meeting Ottawa friends, which doesn't happen often, Carleton Place is a typical compromise pint or even Ashton Station pub, which is five minutes closer to Kanata. I have no idea whether we'll ever meet but just locating myself in space. I'm droing you a note because you mention you're widely read, which would attract me as an acqaintance/friend, quite apart from any benefits (which I've only shared with one university friend, since high school, and nothing extreme - so not very experiened and not "on the scene"
