Hi, I joined this group in anticipation by this time next year having a camper and staying in Florida during the winter months, then returning to a campground here in NY in the summer. I am hoping some of you in the group can suggest a location somewhere between Orlando and Port Charlotte and any good campgrounds in and around that location. I also would like a place that has some social activity but kind of away from the really big cities. I've looked on the internet for some ideas on where to camp, but I am hoping someone that really lives in the area could give me some ideas and suggestions. a place you might find interesting is Camp David in Inverness, FL. It is a men only nudist camp.
Thanks for the input, I'm also considering Lakeland and Winter Haven.
There are a couple in the Pensacola area. Not really near where you are looking but the most beautiful beaches and water in Florida.
