Anyone know of a bi-friendly bar or tavern where a guy can relax, meet people, have a drink and an interesting conversation? :male:

Two possibilities, never been to them but they are listed in the cruising section of squirt.org.

Churchills
3223 Cains Hill Place, N.W.
Atlanta
In the Buck neighborhood - English pub atmosphere apparently caters to a mixed crowd

Swinging Richards
11400 Northside Drive
Atlanta 30318
Also in the Buckhead neighborhood - listed as a bar with all-nude male dancers.

Hope this helps you out. Unfortunately, I can't give you a personal recommendation. It's has been over 40 years since I was in Atlanta, except for connecting flights. LOL

Hope this helps---I Googled gay/bisexual clubs in Atlanta:

http://local.yahoo.com/GA/Atlanta/Entertainment+Arts/Bars,+Pubs,+Clubs/Lesbian,+Gay,+Bisexual+Bars

There had to be a large number--it is a big metro area--they don't exactly list "bisexual" bars per se--but this should be a good start.

Hey there Bisexual Professor
Atlanta is my usual home when I am away from home. To start off you need to find a copy of "David" magizine. They are free and they are scattered all over town (especially mid-town) and in about the middle of the magizine there is a list of Atlanta's most popular "gay" nite clubs. As usual, the gay folk in Atl are confused about what "BI" means, just about like any other town, the people think that BI means that youre not strait or gay. That your confused  and really out in the middle of nowhere. Also, while your at it pick up a copy of "Southern Voice" newspaper (free also) at the same place you find the David mag. They are both good readin.

So just where are you at in Atl? Most of the gay nitelife is in mid-town. One place I like to go to is "Burkharts". It's at a shopping center called "Ansley Square" and thats at the intersection of Piedmont Ave. & Monroe Dr. The thing I like most about that place is that they serve a really, I mean really tasty chees-burger & fries, at a decent price also. Most of the folks there are usually younger & comitted to gay, whether male or female. You can find a copy of David & Southern Voice there. Another favorite spot of mine is "Marys". Thats a great place to socialize. There is a mixed crowd there of M & F and somehow people there seem to accept the bisexual type a lot more than than other spots. There is another spot just a couple of doors away, called "My Sisters Closet". But that place is mostly female gay. Both places are mostly the younger crowd. You can find a David & Southern Voice there also. Both these places are in a area called "East Atlanta". If youre in mid-town say on Peachtree St. or Piedmont Ave. head east on Ponce De Leon Ave. till you get to Briarclift Rd. (on the left) & Moreland Ave. (on the right). Turn right on Moreland Ave, keep goin till you get to Glenwood Ave. (just after you cross over I-20) turn left & Marys a couple of blocks east of Moreland Ave. on the right. On Moreland Ave. you will go through a area called "Little Five Points" don't stop there nuthin but potental trouble. As mentioned before, "Swinging Richards" is a good place, usually a younger crowd, kinda expensive, good strip shows, usually guys only. I don't think I have heard of "Churchills". There is a place called "Blake's" on 10th St. at 10th & Piedmont. There you will find Twinks & Cross-Dressers. I like to get a cup of coffee at the "Caribou" coffee store, sit out front and watch the freaks walk by goin to & from "Blake's". The coffee shop is a good place to find & read a copy of David & Southern Voice. And then when youre done there, take a walk down Piedmont Ave and take a tour through Piedmont Park. Thats a great place to socialize & relax. The park closes at 11:00 PM and they are strict about it. Actually most of the older gay & bisexual folks go to the seemingly strait clubs. In Atl. I don't think there are any strictly strait clubs. You just have to be careful about who you "hit on" thats all.

Actually the club scene in Atl. is constantly changin. Some close, some open up, some change their name, some change the clientele they want to attract. These changes seem to occur during the winter. And when the spring & summer comes & you go to Atl. Everthings changed. And even this years Atl. Pride event seems to not be finalized yet!!! Traditionally it was in June, in Piedmont Park, on the weekend of the famous "Stonewall Riot" in NYC. Last year they moved it to July 4th weekend, at the Atlanta Civic Center. Attendance was less than half that of the year 2007 where they claimed that attendance was over 350,000!!!! Now, this year they claim that the Atl Pride event will be in Piedmont Park, but in October, Halloween weekend. And now they seem to be chainging their mind again, won't set a definate date??? W T F is the matter? All makin me wonder that if Atl. is losing their gay friendly attitude???? For more info about the Atlanta Pride Event and gay Atlanta in general, go to the Southern Voice newspapers website,,,www.sovo.com ,,, Also see David magazine website,,,www.davidatlanta.com ,,, Both same publishers

If youre into the older crowd go to a place called "Atlanta Eagle" on Ponce De Leon Ave., a little east of Piedmont Ave. Another older folk place is "3 Legged Cowboy" on Monroe Ave. not far from "Atl Eagle". Also "Oscars" across from "Burkharts" in Ansley Square is another good one. If youre into the older (and younger) afro guys, or youre the "interracial type go to "Bulldogs" on Peachtree St. That place is mostly black race type.

If youre into clubbin in the nude, there is a place called "Flex" Turn west off Peachtree Ave. onto 4th St. Go till there is a sharp turn to the right. You turn left, into the parkin lot. This place is really a bath-house, you walk in, pay at the front desk, (leave valuables at home, hotel ETC) rent a locker & get neckdd. Plenty of bowls of rubbers everwhere & private rooms, saunas, swimming pool, outdoor deck, ETC. Sorry gals, guys only, more details go to website,,,,, www.flexclub.com

Dammmmmm I really haven't scratched what there is in Atl and the surrounding area. Atl is a lot more gay friendly than this hick town I live in. And you can have a lot of fun and meet tragedy also. Don't get so fucked up you can't watch over yourself, thats not good. Stay away from "Underground Atlanta", expensive, nothing to see. Don't go any further south than Underground Atl. or anywhere south to southwest Atl (getto area) unless youre goin to the airport. South east & east Atl is cool. Thats where Decatur is at. Decatur seems to be where the lesbian folks seem to congregate. And yep, at last count, there is a magazine for the lesbian folks too!!! It's called "Venus" (woulddint ya know)

Oh well it's gettin late and done said too much allready. Your friend, Doggie.........:doggie:...........:bipride:

Also, another good newspaper, not necessarily gay oriented is "Creative Loafing"........website,,, www.atlanta.creativeloafing.com
