I'm on the phone with frikidiki (he says hi, BTW) and a guy has a crush on him like, a romantic crush on him. . . the guy is a little out his age range, kinda needy, and. . . they have the same first name.
I have slept with a person with the same name. It DID wierd me out, but the sex was okay. But saying, "Oh Baby", gets old.
So. . .has anyone else ever done that? How did you handle sex? Or social situations?

Yep, when I was in my 20s.......didn't seem weird to me. He was fine; very attentive and eager to reciprocate, fun to be with. It was nice to have mutual interests, too. We had "at it" for a little while....kinda semi-romantic.

lol I played with a really nice guy who's name was the same first name as me( and no, its not Cat..lol) and the first time he moaned it out, we got to laughing and couldnt finish playing for a bit. He said it sounded almost too conceited to moan/yell out his own name, so he relented and started calling me Mama, like everyone else in the group...lol:bigrin:

It has in a sense happened to me. Her name wasnt Katja but Katrina and was also know as Kat. I have also had a short fling with a Catherine who was known as Cat, but we overcame that by referring to each other by surnames. I didn't find much weird about either relationship except the confusion caused when others were speaking to us and we didnt know which of us they were referring to.
Katja is the diminutive of my proper name which is Russian for Katherine. I had never met anyone with the same first name other than my grandmother until a visit to London when I got talking to some Russian tourists over breakfast. Two of them having the same forename as me and using the same diminutive was a little too much for my then husband over his bacon and eggs.

So you happen to share the same name with someone who you are either having sex with or in a relationship with. What's the big deal?

Somewhere between options 1 and 4, I've been with someone who had the same name as me and it was a nice little fling that lasted a few months... indeed we had some spooky other things in common... but it wasn't especially hot because of that. More it was hot because they were awesome and sexy and (sometimes) naked!

Well I never had that to happen to me, but when I was growing up there were three kids who all lived around the general area and went to the same school. There names were Steve. We eventually dubbed them as Steve, Stevie and Steven. Because most of the time if you saw one then you saw them all as they were the best of friends. Funniest part about it was that when some one did something they shouldn't have and they'd get caught they'd all say: Steve done it!

Ive never had a relationship or got off with anyone with the same forename as me and I kind of go along with them that wonder what the deal is. By the law of averages most of us know someone with our forename, and I know several called Samantha. I even know another Samantha with the same surname which is funny but not freak outish.

But you have a lovely name, and your first and middle initial combo is common. And you're actually the only one with your name I know at this point. My name wasn't as common growing up and . . .it doesn't sound right to my mouth during sex. It just doesn't.

Uh... your lover has the same name you do? i.e. you are both named Taylor (for example :-) or Steve, or Terri or Alex etc..
I think it was a kind of interesting question, not a big thing, but a hmmmm, never considered that...
YMMV

Have a FWB who has the same name. She uses my middle name when we are together. Not a turn on, but not a turn off either.
